I have an 08 sm610 with 6800 miles which is fuel injected.
I got cut off and the bike was dumped at about 20 mph.
The only damage was to the side engine cover which covers the stator.
I Replaced it.
Next time I tried to ride it started blowing the accessory fuse for the instrument cluster. Tracked down the battery trickle charger tender being the issue.
Replaced the fuse and the bike ran fine for a quick ride around the block.
Next day I went to turn it on and it had a very hard time starting. Turned on but idled very poorly.
Died and wouldn't turn back on. I waited a day and tried again. Bike started up and ran for 20 seconds then died. It keeps doing this every time even if I hold the throttle.
Took it too the dealer in santa cruz called moore and sons and he could not figure out the problem after 2 and a half months. He did seem to think it was some kind of issue with the fuel tank even though the fuel pump seems to be operating normally.
Anyone have any idea what the hell could be going on?
I'm thinking of just calling isurance and having them totally out the bike because there isn't anyone else to work on the bike in my area. The next closest place is in San Francisco and they just lost their husqvarna mechanic. This has been a complete nightmare as I have only put about 600 miles on the bike myself.
