Hi all,
I'm about to do the 10 000 km service on my 2006 SM 610. There is some confusion on exactly what to do.
In the manuals I've located it talks about replacing the conrod. Thought this was excessive and started researching and sure enough it was a misprint of some sort.
Came across a couple of posts that talked about a revised maintenance schedule that was released in the UK. Apparently the factory one was too stringent.
I cant locate a copy of this though - all I have found is this:
Coolant: change every 6200 miles
Engine oil: change every 3100 miles
Oil filter: change every other oil change (6200 miles)
Oil bag filters: clean/inspect every 6200 miles
Valve clearances: check every 3100 miles
Timing chain: check every 6200 miles
Air filter: change every 3100 miles
Brake fluid: change every 6200 miles
Chain: check/adjust every 3100 miles, change every 6200 miles
Rear sprocket: change every 6200 miles
Fork oil: change/rebuild every 6200 miles
Can anyone verify this info?
Edit: found it on Speedzilla:
