  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Single track paradise on the 125

Idacurt

Husqvarna
AA Class
Thought I would share some pictures of a recent ride on the single tracks where I live.If anyone is in the Sun Valley/Ketchum area of Idaho please contact me and I'll take you on some epic single tracks.
For some reason 90% of the riders have KTM's 300-450's so when they see the little husky 125 they most always comment about me not keeping up but by the end of most days they are the ones behind and are impressed with the mighty woods scalpel. This was a 60mile day with a 300&350ktm
Enjoy!

Come over anytime except September(Elk Hunting)and we can ride for days and never see anyone on trails like this.

I like those ridge tops. Looks like great riding.
Which direction from Hailey are these trails? How far into October can you ride? Fall must be great too.
Dave

Spring and fall are the best.I leave right by my house in Hailey and ride until I'm north of Ketchum.
The trails have everything from rocky switchbacks, stream crossings to ridge running in all types of terrain.

Cool. Skied and worked there.
Might have to put Hailey on our next riding vacation plans. Thanks for posting.

Doesn't look any better than what we have here in WA ST in the summer.

But new to me and somewhat different. I would make the drive to ride Idaho City as a free ride (instead of racing) as the trails are endless and different and cool. Yes lots of good stuff in WA but love to explore other areas as well. I have also notice their trails do to the volume of them and the lack of people are in much better condition. Just something different to ride and new people to meet.

Wow! That is some beautiful terrain, I'm kicking myself that I didn't take a trip up to Idaho back when I lived in northern Nevada.

Currently - 2,027 mi, 29 hours :(

If I have to go back to Elko, NV for work in the next couple of months and can bring my bike, I may take you up on that offer. How do you like the trials tire on the 125? I love one om my 300 but figured a 125 needs to spin a bit and wouldn't work well on a 125.

You're right,we are both blessed to have great single tracks.
Motosportz,Idaho city is a little over two hours from me.

When is the best time in the fall to come out ? I would like to bring my WB 165 and rail on that pristine single track. Motosportz is right. Our stuff is getting beat up

I rarely see anyone riding here and the trails are in great shape except near trail heads where Mountain Bikers ride the same stuff over and over until it's dusty and loose.
September to late October is great,I'm Elk hunting all of Sept. but If I can't ride I'll be happy to map out trails for you.

I'm fully down for a fall trip to ID. It looks freaking amazing!
I imagine there's a lot of dispersed camping in the area, eh?

What bar bend are you running? They look low and swept back and I want to try them.

That stuff just looks great. You guys have stuff that some of us guys on the east coast would be drooling to ride. Wish it would be that easy as to just load up and ride with you guys.:D
