  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

can anyone tell me if the 06 or earlier husky cr250 silencers will fit current wr250/300s. want a powercore 2 or maybe turbinecore 2/3 but unsure if it will fit my bike? these are all that fmf site lists aside from Q stealth
 
hey shawry i would say they would.....pretty much the same bike in terms of chassis/sub frame so mounting points should be the same

Hate to say it; but there are different pipe stinger lengths between years and between the cr/wr
If you are using an fmf pipe or something else-dynoport; whatever, you may need to make a stinger spacer to hook up the exhaust- after this many years on husky, I keep a box of spark arrestors/silencers and put on what fits depending on what technical inspection must be passed to qualify for the race.
 
riteo checked some older threads & fmfs site. 06 wr250 has a powercore2 & turbinecore2 available. these are the same bike(plastic colour aside) i believe? if im wrong someone correct me before i drop $150 on something that aint gonna fit! anyone got an opinion on these silencers or have them on their bike? much difference noise wise between the 2? id probabaly be inclined to go with the pc2 for cheaper price & shorter length but if the tc2 is noticeably quieter then il spend an extra $20.
