  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Sick of my new bike not running!!!

Ronalderic

Husqvarna
Have a leftover wr300 with 5 hours on it- dealer diagnosed w needs stator changed stator - coil cdi- and regulator still will not run!! Misdiagnosed maybe? Crank seal?? Centercase?? Had bike for 6 months ran forone month??tired of it not running thinking of parting brand new bike out!! Any suggestions

only need 3 components to run. Spark, fuel mixture, and compression. Whats not there? If they are all there- then the timing is off, way off. 2 strokes are pretty simple and easy to diagnose. Give a little more detail and we'll see if we can help you out. (from a Ducati-Husqvarna tech)

Has intermittent spark --timing/ carb was checked by dealer all ok --i have 800.00 plus in repair and it still does not run?? Could it be crankseal or center case?

yes check spark, check compression and leakdown, check fuel flow to carb, check carb float and jets, make sure slide returns properly.
fit an inline fuel filter.stator will have two windings one for lights one for ignition.

These are a great bike with a dated but superb and typically super reliable engine. Please get to a dealer that knows wtf they are doing****************************************!! Being a carryover is there not some type of warranty???? This bike will be a good bike once your problem is sorted. I can under stand the frustration involved. But seriously get it to a reputable dealer. That engine has not changed a lot since back when it was stamped cagiva. Good luck and let us know what it was. Is there another bike available that they could swap a few items fie process of elimination? But in reality they should be able to figure it out....

Tried a bonified " husky dealer" that was wagner powersports charged me 250.00 for nothing- actually said it was running and in fact it did not run at all??!!

Husky Dealer who knows Italian Huskys in New England? Unfortunately, that hasn't been around, since Morel's closed about 12 years ago.....

I had a similar issue when I bought mine,it was the wiring chafed by the turn by the coil. It was 6mo old when it happened to me. I wanted to burn the bike to the ground.took me forever to find it. Now I can't imagine riding another bike.love it

In New England its American Trike And Motorsport, they ride and race them. Try 603-354-7740 they have help out at some of the J-Day events and carry some spares.

Also REP out in West Springfield Ma raced a Husky last year and can help. They worked on my shock and hand delivered one to the track for the Mrs one time, 413-737-0355

Last is Roost power sports down in Ct, but only if you have to. Guy on the start line told me he bought red Husky's, just to get parts for his customers, have no idea if that's true.

Had a trigger crack on mine , once replaced dealer discovered it was firing 180 degrees off. From what I was told they can program it. Mine has been fine since.
