• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Selling 2011 TE 630 with 315 Miles and accessories.. just listed on e-bay.

Looks like quite a good bike and pricing ... I've only got dirt bikes now and can't really go with any streeters but that bike looks like a real steal to me ...

That bike was just relisted. It finished a 7 day auction and didn't sell. Highest bid was $6,300, didn't meet reserve price.

I think this is a very good deal on a virtually new bike. Someone should snap it up, and some will be sorry they didn't!

Please don't take this the wrong way... but...

  1. Discussions like this in the non-classifieds area live forever.
  2. At some point your bike will be sold.
  3. Years from now long after your bike is sold people will be starting conversations with you (sending you a PM) asking if you still have the bike. Trust me - some will ignore the date of this thread, and they will not care if the item is no longer on ebay - people do that.
  4. If you continue to visit Cafe Husky - those will annoy you.
  5. If you ever decide to no longer visit Cafe Husky and/or you do not maintain a valid email address with cafe husky (people change email addresses all the time for many reasons) - then the email notifications asking if you still have the bike will not be able to be delivered to you... then I need to spend time to alter your account to suppress those emails.
Make sense that these types of threads should be in the classifieds? Although it clearly states in the classifieds not to post ebay links, the classifieds would be a much better place to put it for the reasons stated above.

If you are worried you ad in the classifieds will not get noticed, almost everyone uses the 'Whats New' - and the ads show up quite clearly in that with a prominent color "For Sale" in the title.
