• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Seeing a lot of Husky advertising.

Finally. Seems husky advertising is popping up all over the place. mags, forums, etc. See WAY more of this stuff than I can ever remember. Good stuff. Rumors of big changes for 13/14/15 and all this advertising looks good for husky going forward. hope so, time will tell.

The Germans aren't stupid. They were smart to wait out the bad economy before sticking their necks out with Husqvarna. I expect big things in the next few years, unless the World economy collapses again (which, sadly, looks inevitable).

Yep, sure is a lot more advertising, no doubt about it. Lot's more magazine tests, exposure, positive press. Husky has responded to criticizm with on-the-fly updates and changes. Putting up 10 bikes for the two-stroke championship!! Looks like they are really moving forward.

Really strange considering a certain jackhole keeps insisting the Germans are biding their time, swallowing the brand, taking no interest in dirt. Wow they must have no idea what they're doing!

Your gotta advertise any product to sell it ... I don't see any reason other than seat height to stop anyone from wanting to ride these bikes ... And somehow, the other brands are all priced higher now? ... Who does not wanna ride a very cool EU bike? Seems like a no-brainer ... That 125 race move is big I think ...

as long as the jerrys dont bring a shaft driven husky to the table i will be happy an loyal, yup advertising is how to raise awareness but winning podiums is better, watch the space iu guess to see what the future brings may it be red n white, (cant beat old yellow an blue tho) n.b. i dont mean husaberg

Saw a guy out at The Ranch over the weekend w/two new Huskys - both of them Two-Smokes.

It's funny how curious the kids get over the bikes. "Duuuuude, what kind of bike is that???"
