  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Seat Concepts & IMS 2.9 gal tank installed (photos)Thread Title...

A Class
The Tank:
So the latest version IMS tank is much better than the previous one I tried to fit. The shrouds now fit and I don’t see any issue with the fuel pump mounting surface as it is perfectly flat. The seat will attach….but a bit tight on the rear fender.
The Seat:
Excellent. Dropped it off at FedEx 1300 Monday, and back on the bike at 1000 Thursday! Very good quality, super fast service and soooo much better on the trail.
I decided to grind off some of the plastic base for a perfect fit with the aftermarket gas tank. Just a few millimeters was all it took.

The bike looks great, hope it gives you alot of good service.

The issue with the fuel pump assembly bolting surface is that over time it starts getting wavy, with heat and cool down cycles, that's when the plastic in between the bolt holes starts warping, then developing leaks. Just be aware of a gas smell in your garage that you never previously had.

I have one on my TE511, one on my GG250 (taller) and just put one on my 04 CR125 i am building (taller and slightly wider). All are amazing seats. I was never real into changing seats out until I got one for my TE511 not Seat Concepts gets all my seats, I love them that much...
