  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st screw linkage substitution

Husqvarna
B Class
was to replace the bearings and I think this screw very big. I think it should be stock.
What do you think?
husqvarna don´t play with that thinks so I`m in doubt...I don´t work with my rebound screw because it is in front of the linkage

I am not sure what you are asking.

Are you referring to the missing screw in the picture that should be holding on the chain protector?

One of mine fell out and a local hardware store had one that fit. A hardware store in the USA sells miscellaneous for home repair.

I read it as the bolt on the linkage looks too long, like the threaded end is rubbing on the linkage :excuseme:

Thanks Ruffus, I think you are correct.

I dunno what the answer is, and am not sure what bike it is.

Those only go in one way. Look at the parts diagram and make sure you have it correct and there is not a washer missing.

I just had a look at mine & on the main bolt holding the big end of the linkage with the grease nipple, I have a thick washer there. If that's the one you're concerned about, it does appear you're missing the washer, the nut on mine is almost flush with the end of the bolt.

Let me know if you want a picture to better understand what I'm talking about
