SALMINEN GETS MAIDEN VICTORY ON TE 250
The legendary Juha Salminen took his debut win on the TE250 at the first race of Italian Enduro Championship in Olbia (Sardinia) last weekend. The seven-time world champion was in second place after the Saturday's racing, but took the victory on Sunday, with team-mate and fellow countryman Matti Seistola finishing in second. In the E2 class Simone Albergoni finished 3rd and 4th, and was the highest placed Italian rider in Sunday's race. The efforts of Giacomo Redondi in the 125cc class were rewarded with two second places, while Alex Salvini – who made the switch from motocross to the Husqvarna TE511 for WEC and Italian Enduro Championship action – took a 3rd place in the E3 class on a TE511 on Sunday.
