• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

August 4, 2011 - Corona, CA - Boris Said, Center Owner/Operator of BMW of Murrieta in Southern California, returned to his roots this week by taking delivery of his 2011 Husqvarna TE310. Boris started his riding and racing career on dirt bikes, before progressing on to car racing, where he has driven the wheels off of just about every type of racecar: IMSA, European/German Touring Car, SCCA and NASCAR.

In returning to his dirt bike roots, Boris also stayed true to the BMW Group. The world-renowned racer's Husqvarna of choice was the TE310 - the dual-purpose off-road bike, designed for 90% dirt and 10% street. It's the perfect mount for Said, who looks forward to hitting the trails on an aggressive off-road bike that is also 50-state street legal.

Boris wasn't the only member of the dealership who couldn't resist the pull of BMW Group's Husqvarna motorcycles, as Service Director Jeff Cline and technician Matt Smith, also took delivery of two more dual-purpose bikes - the street-oriented and dirt-capable TE630.

"I've been a long-time motorcycle guy," Said stated. "I started working at a motorcycle dealership when I was 14 and was there until I started racing cars. I bought the TE310 because I wanted something that was street legal and something that was good in the woods. I think the TE310 is the ideal off-road motorcycle!"

Boris Said plans to Ride More on his brand new 2011 Husqvarna TE310.

Boris Said's dealership - BMW of Murrieta - is located between Temecula and Corona off the I-15 freeway in the Murrieta Auto Mall. Come and meet Boris and staff, seven days a week, or check them out at www.BMWofMurrieta.com
