• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Rumour Has It.....

Well, I hope it happens soon.....you know, while the Mrs. is still down range.

The Mrs: "Hon, where'd that bike come from?"

Me: "Uuuhhhh, I'm watching it for one of the guys on North Island."

The Mrs: "Oh, ok....when's he gonna pick it up?"

Me: "Uuuuuuuuuuhhhh............."

Is the 50 a full size bike?

And I was like...ding ding ding da ding, WHAAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

those 50cc racer bikes are like giant midgets........and if you've ridden a 2T KTM mini you know that those little Italian 50cc Minarelli and Beta motors riiiip.

I would have bought one of those te125 Minarelli engined Husqvarna bikes that was created for the European 15 horsepower license class If they would have imported. Fantic seemed to use the same engine and have a distributor in Canada. It is a long stroke design. I think Yamaha (who is in the ownership of Minarelli) offers or did offer a bike with fuel injection, same engine, for that 15 hp class. The Fantic one is still carb.

I'm fairly certain as I have been in the past this is where they source all their engines from (125 4T as well) you can look at the engine profiles and match them up to check.

I would assume if they come here they will be on the same marketing class as the AJP bikes, as fun trail bikes.

yea looks to me like the last of the 2t GG POWERED UNITS would hold their own against anything anywhere anytime

I have 2012 motosprint mag with a couple of articles with the 4T (Yamaha WR250 engine) and 2T (Gas-Gas engine). They were spot on in the mix as enduro machines go.
