• Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Well after racing the little 165 last weeken Thought I would take the Zip Ty Racing Cr 300
to the Rovers Hare and Hound in Luceren Calif.80 miles of desert racing The power between the 165 and 300 is unbeleivable It is so hard to hang on compaired to the 165
At the bomb I was top 10 and keeped it pinned all the way thru the first 35 miles to be the first open Mag thru.About 20 miles later got passed by the current #1 open Mag and just tried to stay with him to the finish.At the finish was 20th overall out of 188 starters and 2nd in class over 50 A open At 56 years old that is one of my best ever overalls

I fully understand your brand fan (fanaticism) attitude. You know I am in for racing and riding adventure, I'm just foregoing the long big dez stuff (including the Nat H&H stuff) since stepping off the 450. I went 310 for the singletrack technical stuff*, I will make all efforts to join you at Last Dog Standing and any Ride Chec tight course enduros (or others like that Anza enduro we did last year). Just got back from Mex with Don and the LAMC guys for some epic single track and more dirt road stuff than normal for me. I was the only Husky "down there" as well. Shoot there were more GasGas' then my lone 310!!! Keep flying the flag! Its fun not to be a follower!! RN

*on one of the baja dirt roads I was able to really check my speed/rpm with my current enduro/xc gearing at 50mph I was turning right at 8000 rpm in sixth gear my final drive is 13/52
