• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Great racing for all skill levels / all sizes of bikes

Robertaccio has hooked me up with his unused Blue card from the last race in October( broken Sight glass- did not start) and Don @ SRA is letting me use his card under my name. Thanks Don! :thumbsup:Thanks Rob !

Hoping to see some additional Husqvarna's out there.....

For anyone thinking about giving a shot at a race from any level of ability try one of these SRA things they are well run, quite inexpensive, riders are mostly gentlemanly out on the course, the courses are safe as far as obstacles go, and are just a fun glorified moto trail ride for one solid hour of pushing yourself as well as your bike and having the chance to let it hang out without fear of oncoming traffic in a controlled safe environment.
T, Shhoot you just answered my question from the other post, You are most welcome Marine!
Would love to show for this SRA event, but will do the H&H,,,, Be safe but be solid and claim that P1,2, or 3****************************************

be sure to check your calendar for the Sept edition of the WORCS/West HS dual event at your very local Glen Helen home track

I will do the race 10 at 0845 (1hr) on Sun. May need to come up on Sat.
Oh yeah also you get to ride the same track as the Nat MX guys do!!

tha nks again for the hook up Rob!

This once again was a great race. Shorter track layout this time... a lot more motocross features.... three full rythm sections, several step downs, lots of tight chicanes, several deep sand sections including a large part of the national track. No ridgelines this time

Most bikes I have ever seen at this race.... over 40 on my line.... I finished top 10 on my line

Saw 3 other Huskies + myself. Andy Jefferson was out again on the SR PRO line + another new guy #121 in 30+ Vet Class Beginer :cheers::applause:was out representing... also saw a '07 450 or 510 set up for the desert....... Good to see more Husky riders showing up.....

Had a great start.... fourth off the line of forty and almost got the holeshot... lost four places when a dude stalled in heavy sand on the national track and I crushed his bike from behind.... sort of gave him a little help with the new CRF ejection seat.... rode over his front wheel and tried to make up my loss. Thanks to COLO MOTO for giving me a little newly inspired guidance for that kind of situation....

Couple of dudes tangled up over the opening table... broken arm, knocked out and broken collarbone.. hope they are ok

Practice was cold , wet, misty and miserable but track was perfect condition for another great SRA....

Moving myself up to the Novice line for the next race....

Great news!!! Good work. Curious how did Andy J do? Is he or anyone giving Gordon any hard competition?

Gordon Ward had one guy that ran tight with him for one lap#911 ... doubling over the endurocross tires etc...in Vet class but I think he( #911) still finished third. Gordon, as usual wins by a healthy margin and then came back out and raced the Sr race back to back..... on a short track , he lapped me once but got some of my other riding buddies twice in this race...

I did not see Andy after the start but also do not remember seeing him lap me either like he did in the last race.... I easily could have missed him though.... I was racing hard and giving my best .... definitely was pushing the envelope more as I had a lot more close calls with traffic in and around me.....

Damn this stuff is fun.....I'm already looking for another fix....! This track was way more moto-x inspired than any of the previous races.... what a blast!

Andy Jefferson 2nd overall Senior expert Husky:thumbsup:

Gordon Ward 1st OVerall Senior expert

I placed 10th on beginner line / 57th OA - just where I thought I was. I'm happy with any healthy , un hurt , no crash finish!
