• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anybody coming over to race this one in November?

go to www.roof-of-africa.com for details

There are bike for hire to competitors as we so you don't have to bring your own bike.
(Unfortunately not Husky but for this race, you will be pleased)
YAMAHA`s for rental available. Full service granted - for more information:
Nico Pienhaar - rainbowclothing@dbnmail.co.za

currently one USD will get you 7.8 ZAR so it will not cost you as much as the locals to enter and compete.

Extreme enduro basically sums it up yes.
Africa's Ertzberg or Romaniacs.

the race has been run for over 40 years now with great success.

Come and see for yourself....................I dare you.
If you need a pit crew PM me and I will spread the word on this side of the pond.

I remember racing it one year and also helping set up a Husky out of the crate with Butch Hirsch ( was the sole importer for Huskies into S/A) for Scott Harden from the USA. He had a list as long as my arm of how he wanted the bike set up. Riding anything bigger than a 300 --is HARD work.

S/A riders keep us informed with any other links to the event. I watched some vids from the past events, its quite the show. Will your guy Gutzeit be there? He shows well at Extremo Enduro.

All the top SA boys work up to this one. Gutzeit will be there I am sure, on his 450 Beemer.
Mahoney, Curtis, Dick and about 500 others.
Personally I am not doing it this year, DANG........
Next year I will enter the geriatrics class if they still have it

How about I get the organisers to keep in touch with you?
What are you looking for? Updates, race entry forms or just the results?

Nah, just as a fan, the website home should be sufficient, or if you know links to any local videographers or photo people, so we can follow and see all the good sections. Thanks Rob
