• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Thanks Guys,
robertaccio, Rob is a Yorkshire lad and his is a typical Yorkshire accent. I bet your Welsh riding buddy misses the deep mud and driving rain of his native Wales ;)

yeah Dai beat me in the last Tecate HS I was following him ready to pounce before the finish but when the cold winds kicked up sleet came down then snow started sticking on the ground he was in his element he gapped me and pulled the win from me, he was for sure the better man that day. We have lots of rocks here too.
Ive heard so many different accents around in my moto and engineering world, I knew a Yorkie engineer that hooked up with a girlfriend of mine. At my last company I worked with a Geordie engineer. My last(final no more for my beat up ankles) indoor soccer team was 3/4 UK guys so I learned to hear a lot of crazy accents from Scot to Geordie, for me as an American its really funny stuff hearing all that banter across the board. Hey we have some crazy accents here too, mine was hardcore NYC/Long Island but has since toned down. Anyway back to bikes.

Rob looks good, as well as the bike, please give us some tech stuff about your team bikes, ECU type, pipe, Reiger suspension, skid plate brand, bars brand, etc etc. We love the tech stuff
Hats off to to you and the team as London Fire Brigade crew members.

Thanks Robertaccio,
Yes it's amazing that such a small country as the uk can have such a lot of accents... i think it's because we all hate each other :p (kidding)
And yes thanks - the LFB club has been around since the 70's but we have just got the Enduro/Off-road section properly organised-ish...

I'll get the MPS guys themselves to sign up to here (if they're not already) and get them to give more tech info about the bikes.
All i know is that as the Factory Husqvarna squad for 2011 the bikes were running essentially stock engines and frames but had a lot of bling put on the bikes to enhance them a bit more...But hopefully they can give a bit more info.
Cheers
