• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Anyone happen to see the new video?
Totally awesome. Both the riders and the production quality.

They do a small piece about Paul Bolton and then show him attack this insanely nasty hill on a plated Husky WR (250, I believe). On the results page they show him as riding a KTM250.

No respect..... :D

Anyway, when did he start racing a Husky? Or was that a KTM with Husky plastics? :smirk:

just watched the vid, loaner from C&D Cycles San Diego. great vid with good story line not only about the top guys but "hobby" riders, women and the story of Smith and Denison and their team race. Very cool stuff and very well done.

here's a 20 minute 'sample' vid: http://www.vimeo.com/7141693

Around the 4:30 mark they talk with Bolton and he clearly has a KTM jersey on. I'm guessing they did a poor editing job in regards to what I was talking about in my first post.

During the scene in question they talk to Bolton and then immediately show a Husky mobbing up a nasty hill and clearing it easier than anyone else, so the rider is obviously super talented. The vid makes is seem like it's Bolton, but it must have been another rider and the editing didn't make this clear :excuseme:

Got last years copy. Love the part with the 'expert' in his class being interviewed whining about it being too tough..."*bleep bleep* this aint no *bleeping* expert course!".
Prolly made a wrong turn. Or underestimated it.

Romania is an incredible country. Open to MC travel anywhere that aint fenced (per the vid). Gorgeous too....with gnar-gnar!

Man they put them poor doods through the wringer. Tumbling down waterfalls with my bike and large rocks chasing after me? Now that's a Black Diamond trail.
