• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Robertaccio made me do it!

Haha! Very nice bike. Enjoy it. Those things look like allot of fun with tons of power all over. Probably way too much power for my whiskey throttle tendencies and weak skills.:o

Congratulations!!
The suspension and seat will feel harsh at first, but will eventually break in.
I originally thought the stock seat was going to have to go, but after a few rides I realize how good it is. First noticed it when trading out with guys on KTM's, couldn't wait to get back on the Beta.

I think why the Beta seat works for me is that is wide and flat, saves my tail bone. I don't have a lot of padding on my backside!

Didn't make it out to ride today so I went over the bike and man not one loose nut or bolt any where. And guess what? There was even grease! Yes, Beta actually grease their motorcycles. Stock jetting was ok (35pj - 165 mj) needle in the middle. Bike also came with a 38pj and additional needle. Took the carb off and installed my Lectron and wow what a difference.

Well that's good, I was told otherwise about them having grease. Rode a 450 not too long ago and the owner told me to make sure I take everything off when I get one and re-grease it all. His linkage wasn't too greased up apparently.

Mine works really well with stock jetting, what difference did the Lectron make?

One of the things I like about the Beta is that the Distribution center is in Paso Robles Ca and my dealer can order parts any day of the week and have my parts in 2 days or less. Where as with husky he had to wait until a certain day then order parts. The Sherco was also on my list but no dealers in Ca. I like my dealer and want to support him. I 'll have to admit seeing and hearing Robertaccio riding the 300RR did it it for me. Put 45 miles on today and the only thing I missed having was taller bars and a steering damper.
