• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

The long term weather says above freezing, but just in case, we are going to allow studded tires with original studs only. No sheet metal screw setups

We have been getting phone calls regarding the weather this weekend and if we would be canceling if it's not good.
The event will not cancel! We plan to have a big bonfire, the terrain will be good. February, sometimes you just don't know what your gonna get!

I spoke with all the sponsors of the River Rat GP at Riverdale for Sunday, and been watching the weather severely deteriorate, for everyone's safety we are going to cancel and reschedule the event. As soon as we figure out what dates will work best I will let everyone know. I really did not want to cancel, and I think the course itself would be fine, just a lot of snow. But it is a long drive for everyone and road conditions are just too sketchy right now. Thank you all for your support, please help spread the word!

Yes, we just got hit with our second big snowstorm of the winter in the lower elevations of the NW....crazy stuff. I have about 5 inches in my yard in Eugene (about 120 miles south of Riverdale).

A little snow is fun to ride in, but this is getting to be a bit much. Local BMW guys hold an early spring gather this weekend near me....my K100 shall remain in the garage :(

Gives me more time to work on putting the '84 250CR back together I guess :)
