  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

So I ripped the seat on the WR300 last week. At least I was doing something cool when I ripped it haha. Anyway, what kind of seat covers are guys running. Im wondering if I would like a gripper seat since I will be racing ECEA this year. Hmm....wont be sitting much anyway..

I let my 010 TC fall over and it ripped also .. :( ... I need a cover also or I might get it sewed up ...

Not sure I like a gripper seat as I tend to slide around on seat alot when ever I try to go fast on the trails \ tracks ... I'm all over the place on the seat and even stand up from time to time ...

---

I'd hate it ripping the seat on my WR because it has that cool Husky emblem on the front of it by the tank ... I'd have to go OEM on that seat ...

i almost swapped seats with my SM510R when I sold it last spring cuz it had that nice logo

I ripped mine a couple months ago. I bought a yard of material from these guys http://www.seattlefabrics.com/tough.html and a buddy stapled it on for the price of lunch. I have enough material left to recover the seat another time. The bumpy looks almost identical to the factory stuff. It doesn't have a sewed edge like the factory seat but it looks just fine.

I would say check with seat concepts. They are a sponsor on this site and have treated everyone real well. Great guys to deal with

Yeah I just put it on over the weekend it was a nice fit. Not a lot of extra meat on it though if you have a high seat foam you would be pushing it. Standard material its not a non slip type of material. But definitely thicker then stock.

Yeah I did have to cut the hole for seat holder. Im not sure about how slippery it will be. I will know after this weekend.
