• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

there does not seem that this part of this site is used much
big competition with dbw but with little computer knowledge i have tried to join dbw and have so-far failed
any how our group are riding this weekend 1st 2nd 3rd of feb from hawthorn bridge nerrim vic
now have 4 huskys in group and counting
feel free to come join us we will be camping by the new bridge

Enjoy the weekend mate sounds like fun, if you are successful in joining DBW don't expect anything but a hard time from them as they hate Huskys big time!

Cheers for the invite mate..l'm from the other side of town so neerim isn't far but still a good 1hr+ for me and l can't get the Friday off , oh and there is a small hindrance of two husky's that l'm freshening up atm.

Re: DBW, they organise great rides and really good for local content but in agree big time with 310huskyTE...their hate for Husqvarna is legendary!! Still a good site but you'll have to put up with all the shit as well.

Bit far for me to join in, have a good ride. Plenty of good info on dbw and typical bagging of brand loyalty.

Steer clear of dbw, they are an obnoxious bunch of husky bashers. Have not been near then for 5 years. They are really quite ferrel. if you ask a genuine question you get dumped on.
thanks ghte , i only keep hearing bad reports about dbw

As I said, there are some great folk on dbw.....just brainwashed in thinking every time a husky breaks down it must be a POS, of course no other bike breaks down in the bush

Grow a thick skin and slag them off if need be. I have made some good riding buddies on DBW and its good for joining in on rides.

It been 5 years since I have ridden around this area, start off at Neerim south then ride to the tool shed at Noojee (that fire place in winter time) then ride back to Neerim South great place to ride love it the little pix on the left is at one of the tracks around there
Cheers Kel

Hey Kenny are you riding from Hawthorn Bridge each day? If so I might try to catch up for a ride I'm riding a 2012 TE449. Normally ride from Labertouche to Powelltown then to Noojee went there on Friday and to the pub for a feed.
