• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

I'll try and ask him next time he goes flying by me at a WEBE race. Fast kid! :D

Daniel, Thanks for checking in...

Very nice track record in the write-up! Keep the 'H' moving forward...and because you're old enough !!

Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I hope to continue my winning ways in 2013. No real big changes for next season (just exhaust company and boots). I will have my 2013 TC 250 next week and I am keeping my 2012 TC 250 for a practice/back-up bike. Thanks again for the support!!!

Daddy and daughter pics are inside, Virginia, the two Linders.

I love the thought behind the support/contingency rider issue. Makes a rider feel more welcomed and like they are part of a bigger group. I know locally, our series is seeing an "explosion" of Huskys next season. Last year, two of us were constants, this year there were 4 of us, next year there will be 8-10 of Husky racers. Great job HMNA, I hope this is a regular thing for the fall/winter Ridemore Journal.

Are you automatically on the list to recieve one if you bought a bike? I grabbed one from Halls when I purchased and really enjoyed it.

You can sign up for it online and they'll mail it (the first one takes awhile). You will get the current one too. Any dealer will have them sitting there.

Whoa... Look what else shows up in the mail!!

Got a box with a couple of extra copies and...

Ta-Da!!

Got to be for those long desert rides we've been seeing, or maybe those long snow rides we've been seeing...

I hope it's 2-stroke flavored.

Yes, they are good with the flair, especially if you let them know you are interested. Always helps to tickle your regional rep.
