• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Yesterday was the deflowering of Jake's new 08 TXC250. Slick muddy cold rainy NW winter riding was the order of the day. We had a blast. Amazing how three totally different bikes all end up going about the same speed but getting there in a much different manner.

The TXC250 is amazing. Super light feeling, very nimble and 125 like. The motor took the usual "IT'S A 250f" reprogramming (pin it), but rewarded with super fun quick power and a very unleashed feeling. Jake LOVES it. It is probably the best handling bike i have ridden. Stock the suspension is very good. Like almost perfect. Just a great bike. For me I like my 450 better because I can lazy it around real fast all day. Jake thought it had WAY to much power. I thought his 250 did not have enough. :D

Adams WR250 is a great bike, well setup, LTR suspension, damper, and tank... Good to go. Faster than the 250f but feels heavier and does not handle as well (nothing does :>). A great EZ to ride do it all well bike.

My 450? Well it's the best of the three, to me :D I think we all feel we are on the best bike  That's whats cool, three totally different bike but all awesome bikes... GO HUSKY

Looks like fun. I used to live in Hood River (windsurfing bum) and ride post canyon and behind mosier up hwy 35 which is where it looks like you were. Glad to see there is still some access there. I'm curious how far up hwy 35 you went to unload. I just got my first husky in august, a te450 08 and am loving it.

Awesome! I knew Jake would love it. I wish I could have been there with you all...Belfair? Awesome pics by the way.

You gotta love an all Husky ride...spread'n like wildfire in WA****************************************

Beautiful (as always).

Weird question - were the plates on the Corvettes all the same and from out of state? I know it's a weird question.

JFK, that's the area.

Coffee, no idea just snapped a shot and kept yapping about huskys :D

BTW this area is mainly tight single track but the pix are in the open areas because the rest is so tight pix are near imposable.

Sounds like a great ride by all.
Same weather we had here in BC.
I wish I would remember to bring the camera to post almost the same pics. Only did about 60 km today.

The days are numbered for non snow pictures though.:ride:

Keep em coming Kelly just love those pics.

....clean up on cloud 9......

Yer bike's dirty.......again. :busted:

If you'd stick to the dust and rocks instead of those nice, tacky, moist trails that 'black stuff' wouldn't be stuck all over it....saving you ton's of cleaning time.

(dust just wipes off with some Pledge ;))

Epic pics Kel, 'grats to Jake.

Cool pics, as always.

How did the MotoZ do compared with the trials tires?

Worked awesome, love those tires. Seem to work on everything and very predictable. 200 miles and very little wear. Feel indestructible and i huck it into rock piles with reckless abandon.

- thanks for the heads up about these.
