  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Rekluse Question

Husqvarna
AA Class
I have a Rekluse pro in both of my TXC450s. One of them is getting clutch chatter when you first take off. It is set up to spec and oil is change every 10 hours with Rotella T. Wondering if anyone has had this problem and found a cure.

Thanks

No cure, just an observation. I have had one for a number of years in my DRZ400 and have about 10000 miles on it. Mine only does a little chatter and squealing when the engines cold.

I've had really consitant results with the Rekluse on my KTM's, so far on the HSQ's it's been more miss then hit.

Having sold and installed Rekluse since they became a company (7 years?) I have used a lot of them. The Pro in my TXC450 is the first one to squeal. I spoke to Rekluse about it and they have an "Anti Squeal" kit. Primarily was a KTM issue but they are finding more models that do it like our Huskys. The bottom line it it does not hurt anything. If you don't like the sound you might try the kit which I think is a washer or something. I have also found different oils do it more or less. Usually when I hear it I have come to a stop for a minute like waiting at a trail intersection, then when I go to leave I forget I am in 2nd or 3rd and go to take off and get the squeal.
