  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Rearwheelin

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Removed sub-fender...
Drilled new holes for new turn signal location...
Zip tied licence plate to under fender .....

Caution: right signal is in-line with exhaust and might melt, a shorter signal may be best, will see . :D

If it's in the exhaust stream, it's toast....

LOL, you never cease to amaze me man! Just wait, I am almost done with Tail Tidy 2.0. I sent you a text of the picture too. I plan to make a mold of this one too. I need a mold an vacuum to make the part properly. And boy, is this thing so much less work than the gas tank (which is still a work in (sanding [and I never want to do it]) progress.

Lol , it's about the good and the bad , this was a dud I guess haha ! .... Stay tuned for the tail section strengthening mod I discovered while drilling holes in my lower fender ! All you need is two zip ties ! ... I got my new clutch cover today ...

Have you seen integrated turn signals? They are in the tail light. Pretty common with sport bike riders and should be doable with the 449

Yeah ! Do you think our tail light can be modded or need a different light ?

I am going round two with this and building some lexan signals that bolt to the subframe ends and they will have a 1" LED strip . They will be unbreakable and out of the way of exhaust flow, close to the tail section. :)

I'm not sure if you can modify the existing one. I'm sure you could but its be beyond me. The brake light is still useable while the turn signal is on so you would need to find a way to seperate the lights. I know there were even kits for a WR250X so I'd imagine the kits are pretty generic.

Same place I've had mine for quite a while. Used oem indicator and it has been fine.

No problem! It was! it hung directly in the path of the stock can and had been 'worn' that way for around 6 months before I fitted the Akra. :) I'm loving the grip pads on your TE!

edit: Found more pics. I say 'directly', there is some clearance.

The last pic I can see you shortened the signals in some. Mine are still full length or they are just longer to meet our DOT requirements . Mine are defiantly going to feel the force of the exhaust . I think I might cut them down a little . I like the location because it makes removing the fender easier not having to unplug the signals.

They were the stock issue indys :) Didn't realise DOT required longer stalks? Seems strange considering you guys can get away with smaller plates, while we're meant to run 11x9 inchers. Agreed about their location :)

So, you know when your doing back flip Indian running man hooptie scoop airs and you need something to grab on to ? Well this is just the right thing, as it grips wich will help you learn that new body varial with the back flip. Not only does it act like Velcro when your grabing on to the tail section flying threw the air like Tarzan it's great for grabing the pants on that chick you need to loose by giving her that extra flip as she flys off the back. It's this fender grip that could make the difference in next years X-Games Freestyle Moto-X competition . Don't be without it :)
