• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

TE/TC Raise idle

Xicobombas

Husqvarna
A Class
Need to raise the idle on my 2017 TE 250.
Even when hot in tight trails with full clutch it stalls.
Brought it from dealer maintenance, a bit far to take it back, and need to raise the idle.
Come from a 4st, only 1 screw to control idle, after reading the manual got scared on f.. up the dealer settings.
Any video ?
Do I need to raise on both screws (air and fuel) or just one screw (air) ?

After reading better the maintenance manual, I think I understood how to do it.
Need to use the speed idle screw and set the speed to 1400 - 1500 rpm.
Then with the air idle screw, check the highest and lowest working point and set it to the middle point.
The problem is, how can I see the idle speed ? My previous 4st TE 250 Husqvarna had the info on the dashboard, the present one doesn't.

Before raising the idle too much you might want to play with the low end jetting. On a good running 2 stroke the idle doesn't have to be as high as a 4 stroke. Cam.

Hello, recently got a 2 stroke time for a change.

My te 250 idles fine but it seems to take some time to come back to idle so idles fast then comes to rest, noticeably different to my mates 17 te 300

Any ideas? The cable and side are not sticking.
