    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Heys guys,
Im new to the forum, as well to huskys! So i thought id introduce my self and the new ride. Im 20 years old, and live and ride on the east coast of nsw. I race and ride offroad, so the the new to me te450 will be set up primarily as an offroad weapon, used for occasional mx sessions as well as potentially some super moto fun once wheels are obtained.
So the bike, its a very low km late 08 TE450.
Its already been 'raced tuned' with the o2 sensor etc removed, as well as different fork springs.
First on my list is suspension - it sucks! any set up tips here would be good (im 185cm 65kg)
exhaust sounds good (been debunged) so unless theres serious power to be gained stock will do.
Potentially an upgrade in protection - radiators first, maybe bash plate upgrade
Hand guards! stock ones were cracked and seem cheap, any suggestions as to what fits well??
Gear ratios have been changed, will check the new ratios soon, what works well?
The only part of the bike i dont like the look of is the front guard and headlight. I thinking yzf guard and cycra headlight, again any suggestions are good!

As far as maintaining and fixing things go's, i need a new battery, the stock unit is dead, seems huge and blocks the air filter, any good replacements??
Also the bike came with a spare stepped seat, but the rear bolt is missing, can these be fixed?
Can the key barrel be easily relocated?
The blinkers, mirrors and fan are all removed, so the light switch has been replaced with a smaller one, im thinking of putting this under the bar pad, any suggestions?

So, a lot if info there, pictures are on the way, basically converting the te to a txc/te wanna be!
