  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Race Map 3 on TE511

My bike is an Aus deliver bike so we get different ECUs to you guys.
The maps are richer, so should be better than standard for most of the probs you just mentioned.

The primary TPS voltage has an impact on the running of these bikes also especially down the bottom .
It should be at 0.7v factory setting, lots of them are lower at like 0.6v....

I have 2 te511s,one 2013 in Brazil,and a 2012 in uk,both came with the akprovic mufflers and plugged ecu,I have them both on map 2.As you say about different maps in Australia,I was wondering if perhaps I already have 'map 3' on both bikes as I have been thinking about sending the UKs bike ecu off to Zipty as it will be laid up soon for the winter.is there anyway of telling,that you,or others know of,of telling the map install,perhaps my serial numbers etc.
I have taken notice of most mods on the uk bike,eg secondary butterfly removal,copied your brass elbow style engine breather,played with the air screw to create a balance between starting,idling and engine braking.

Hi Mark.
Its unlikely that the bikes would already have the Akrapovic Titanium Racing exhaust map already loaded unless asked for at a dealer.
That map set was to be loaded with the accessory full racing exhaust from the catalogue when fitted by a dealer and is separate from the Akro slip-on shipped with the bike.
You should hopefully be able to find a dealer around somewhere to be able to load it up.

On that note, member Meouw is from TuneEcu and has got that system talking to the Husky ecus.
We have shared a copy of the HST with him and he's now looking to find the maps in the code to add to the updates.
Perhaps in the not too distant future his system will be able to upload the maps from a tablet :)
