• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Race discs brake disc.

I'm hard on my back brake I know. I do a lot of muddy single track riding. But with the stock set up my pads lasted forever. Just my luck I sold the stock set up too!:(

I have a few stock wr 250 solid and vented stock rotor off a cr 250 plus a few stock caliper mounts both brand new and used I will gladly trade you for your zip ty bigger rear brake set up let me know I will ups to you no problem john

I just bought a Braking rotor on ebay which I believe is the bigger size. Hopefully that'll cure the burning through pads I've been having. I'll be in touch if I still want to go back to the OE set up. Thanks, Len

cheers anyway PK but them blokes bit of a rip off from what ive seen! want top dollar for beat up gear. bet that disc has fair bit of wear. S3 performance here in AUS make one, its a bit ugly imho but supposedly good quality & long wearing without being a pad chewer plus I wont see it while im riding!:D . might try Aussie made as its only around $100 delivered. will report back how it goes

Yeah, please do. I will post once I get a few rides on my new pad and rotors. Hope they get here before the weekend!

I also found RHK make a disc to suit & also motomaster 'nitro' model(cheaper version of the 'flame' which cairoli/ktm use)! both around the $100-$130 mark delivered in Australia! think im gonna go with the motomaster disc as its the cheapest(by $7:D ) surprisingly & best looking design IMO. RHK be my second choice purely for cosmetic reasons(most expensive by some $23) over the 3rd placed aussie made S3 disc9(average looker).

I'm getting some brake fade at @ 2 hour mark and was planning to order the RaceDisc as part of a cheaper solution. Already flushed it with fresh DOT4 fluid, maybe try some 5.1 too. Now I'm a little worried about the QC of the RD parts  QC on the Brembo or Braking parts shouldn't be an issue. Stopping power is fine to me, just need to relieve the brake fade.
