  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Questions about the te310

B Class
Hello i wanted to buy a te 310 from 2011 because i want a light enduro but i wanna also ride a bit one the street, to school or riding a bit with friends in summer and now my question is if the bike can be also riden on the street ?
Not one highways but on landroads and through my village. And if i could also put tires like supermoto tireson it ?

Yes all the TE models can be plated. Depending on where or who you buy it, probably will be pretty restricted. There's multiple threads here that guides you to unleash the full power (Taking out the Catalyic Converter for example).

I imagine you could as long as the tires are D.O.T approved. If you are getting supermoto tires though, I'd think you are riding a fair bit of street? May want to think about the TE449. Only 15-20 lbs heavier, and probably wouldn't notice it too much if you are riding street more.

Ok thank you , but the problem is , that i will buy a used bike because of the price and i couldn't find a used 449 arround me but i found a 310 who's in a very good condition. So the engine want be damaged if i ride one the street?

No it'll be fine, just don't expect 'cruising' speeds above 50-55mph.

I have a TE250 and it's very fun bike, but mostly off road type bike. With my enduro gearing, I can maintain 40-45mph comfortably. I can zing the rpms up and get er to 65-70, but I wouldn't hold it at those rpms for long.

I think you will be fine - just don't go on the highways ;). If you are riding street more, maybe go with the 40 rear sprocket, or 50 rear and 15 front. The default enduro gearing setup wouldn't see sustainable speeds above 50mph - cause on my 250 with the enduro gearing - I get around 45mph on straights at 6200 rpms , which is near the start of the power curve.

How many miles does the 310 have? You know how it was ridden before you - if it was well maintained? Got to be careful when buying used dirt bikes
