  • Hi everyone,

    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

    Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Pwk On Husky Wr 250 04

AA Class
Hi to everybody!!

Recently i have bought a Keihin Pwk AS (ex tm300), and i have istalled it on mu husky (wr 250 04). the carb has this jetting: pilot jet 38, needle n1ec 3rd, main jet 178 7#slide. i am around 100m alt.

it's a bit rich:excuseme::excuseme::notworthy::notworthy::banghead:

sorry for my english...

I don't know that needle profile, but I'd guess that if it starts OK with the 38, then it's OK. The diameter is a little small and if it's dual taper then main's too big.

Looks like a KTM needle. ???

yes it's a ktm's needle

i have seen the jd jetting kit... (not easy to found in italy) it's good???

Yes, JD jetting kits are good. The JDKH06 kit is a generic PWK kit that has just the needles. With that and a few smaller mains and larger pilots you should be able to hit something good.

I'm getting ready to do a little work on my PWK with some JD needles, too.

On my 04 I have 42 3 1/2 turns,7 slide, DDK 4th, and 172. Everything is good at your elevation except a little burrble off idle. It isn't bad because it smooths out the hit in the tight stuff. My next move though is to try a 40 pilot and see what happens.
