  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

FE/FC Pulled the trigger today on a FE250

Nice! 2014's should be priced to sell too. Where's the factory skid plate? Better you than me this year with the late snow...:p

Was this the 2014? Can you tell me what the certificate of origin reads? Meaning can me make these street legal here in NY/NJ?
OffRoad only? Or motorcycle?

MSO says off road only. In a weak moment I bought a 4 stroke even tho my last KTM 250 self descructed as a guy was on his way to buy it. Cost big money to repair. Besides Mike here got the last 300, the rest are all spoken for.

Congrats! If it runs 1/2 as good as my 2014 FC250, you will have fun!!

Nice! I sometimes wonder if a FE250, would make a good mate to my TE125. At some point the '12 Husaberg TE250, will go down the road and I thought a TE250 Husky would replace it, but keeping I am open mind....

Our MSO said MC not off road. We have a title and will be plated this year. Great bike but it needs a Mega Bomb exhaust at a min!

Finally road this bike today working our clubs NETRA Hare Scrambles race at Tuxedo Ridge Ski Center in southern NY.. The bike is more than I expected and the forks seem fine and this is considered one of the nastiest HS races in the series. I know, as I sweep ride it every year and have many NETRA races behind me. Good bike with way more bottom end than I expected and it turns on a dime. Maybe the forks get worse as I ride it, we'll see. Stock settings. Was a blast riding on a foot of hard pack snow up and down a ski slope, then riding the rocks.

Norman if you come to my clubs NETRA HS in Tuxedo NY May 3rd u can ride my scooter. I'll be sweeping the whole day and about ready to pass out. LOL. Very tough but fun course riding up and down a ski slope. Saturday is a family fun ride day and unreal fun if you have kids, quads or just want to chase by my girls kid on my trick XR 120 on the grass track. Come by the Fun Mover and say hi on the way far left of the ski slope, everybody else is welcome as well as well I bring a ton of beer and we do it it up pretty good.

Yep Central Jersey Cycle and I got the skid plate. I've been buying bikes since 1971 and Bob is the man. Yes, Huskie released money and I stole this bike today. Too pretty to ride tho.

Bob must have some people skills to stay around that long ... When I used to deal with dealers, some might have been able to ride, but had no people, business, or sales skills really...

New paint always looks good and is only new once ... Someone is gonna have to get that bike un-new ...Good luck doing-it-up with the riding and your riding club.

My club has been clawing, fighting, and giving it hell since the 70s to put on Hare
Scrambles and Ice Races and I am the oldest original member of the club. Not easy in the politically correct NE. We have the toughest NETRA HS of the series and are proud of it. Hell, there's a foot of snow now on the slopes as we speak. It's fun skiing on a Huskie, did it the other day, just keep it wide open.

Sounds like you guys moved on from a club and have turned this into a way of life :) .. Keeping anything running that long is no easy task I'm sure, ESP with bikes and all the civilized changes we must endure through time ... Stuck in the 70s here also but about the only thing that is the same for me since the 70s is I'm still breathing and walking upright and riding Huskies...
