  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Prototype new bike hauler

But you don't need a van, even if you could afford it with the savings by choosing Husky over orange.

I like everything but the big ugly TT logo. And from a pure biz standpoint a dirtbike might turn potential customers away. Just food for thought.

You need a big picture of you on a yacht on the side of that, instead of the moto.

(But where are the customer's yachts?)

Old stock broker conundrum.

It should be a picture of you doing a wheelie through someone's front yard :)

oh for sure braaap! on the lawn spraying grass on a local competitors "for sale" sign..."we'll beat anyone, fastest service, lowest rates!"

i think it'd attract a great clientel. most dirt bikers are not dirt bags. they got jobs to pay for all these toys and stuff! and anyone that's put off by bikes? i dont wana em as a client. they're proly liberal fruitcackes!

freakin lose the TT ad and yer business will double...like overnight.

I'm fairly sure that this thread has left an impression, and for some a long lasting impression, and in my case a permanent impression.

i like it! bout time us dirt bikers got a positive image!

dont ferget the metal mullisha sticker on the back bumper...ooo...n some of the steel dingleballs thingys from the hitch! cuz datz how we roll...

My 2 cents is to put a pic of a Tudor style house on the side of the van. That style of house catches my eye. I imagine it has the same effect on others.

He lives and works in Seattle which is very Blue and lots of greenies. I was being honest when i say the MC is going to turn a lot of potential customers away. Obviously I love it and every one here will be I was talking about real customers. Just being honest about it from a biz standpoint.
