  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

All 2st Professional Husky rider on a 2 stroke?

Is there any professional Husqvarna riders on 2 strokes? Whether it be motocross/supercross/harescrambles/desert/etc

Every rider that i've seen is on the 250f or 310

it makes no sense, husky has some dang good bikes, i personally wouldn't want to haul around the extra weight of the 4 stroke

Andreas lettenbichler or something like that he is riding the red bull romainiacs enduro on a wr300

Seb Guillaume in action on his WR300. Seb rode the EWC on the WR for the last 5 or 6 years, but was cut and moved to GASGAS to ride their 300 this season.

It seems the 2 stroke 300s, no matter what the color, are becoming the bike of choice in extreme enduros.

i posted a forum similar to this on the main discussion, wr250 or 300, so why did you say most extreme riders prefer a 300 over a 250? im switching from kawi 450s to husky, might ride a 2013 txc310 with the new head. but i wanted to ride lites in gncc on the 250 2 stroke and was wondering about them?

I was referring to Edzberg and it seemed the 300s had the big bike power to make the extreme hill climbs and are light weight enough in the technical sections to save the rider some energy. 250 vs 300 is a good question and probably comes down to personal preference. I would think if you had to back out of the gas and get back in it the 300 would have an advantage over the 250. I sure do like my 250 but I don't run an auto clutch and don't ride 2 gears high to kill the mid hit.

About all I ride is single track with roots, logs and rocks in and around the Ozark National Forest. I think I'm too out of shape to ride long events, I can go fast for about 10min. and then I have to go easy until I recover. LOL I occasionally ride with some pretty fast guys and that helps motivate me to get in shape and start riding some events but I'm not there yet.(they are always waiting for me to catch up) I really believe you could make a 250 or a 300 work for either gncc or single track... When I bought my 250 I figured I could always make it a 300 if I wanted more but I'm really happy with it and all the tweaking I've done has just made it better.
