  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Problem with Husqvarna SMR510. Motorcycle stalls during sharp gas

Mikhail

Husqvarna
C Class
Hello. Need advice.
Sorry for my english

The problem:Motorcycle - Husqvarna SMR510 2008. Injector Mikuni. Stock muffler. Mileage 4,500 kilometers. Set Power Commander III. Candle new.
If sharply several times to turn the throttle, the bike will stall with a soft bang. This happens when the bike is stationary or at low speeds (under certain provisions of the throttle). Not always. About one out of five times. If standing on the spot several times greatly loosen the throttle, the bike always stops. At high speed, it does not.Highly frustrating if it happens somewhere in the track with mud up to their knees or at a traffic light when the rear car (((

Power Commander III is set to stand. Characteristics of the fuel mixture - normal.Fuel pump to the fuel filter changed. No changes are seen.Oxygen o2 sensor replaced Oxygen o2 sensor eliminator.
Can anyone advise where to look now though? The reason?Oxygen o2 sensor ruleThe composition of the fuel mixture ruleFuel pump rule
How to get rid of this problem?
What's left?Injector?Problems with the ignition?Where to look, what to test, how to test?

p.s. In any case, repeat the problem:Motorcycle starting up standing still in neutral, the engine runs smoothly, RPM does not jump, all right.Sharply several times twist the throttle - the bike again in the fifth with a soft bang stalls. It stalls at the opening of the throttle, and not at the closing.

Is this actually a problem when riding normally?

Repeatedly snapping the throttle open on a big four stroke single doesnt seem normal use to me! :-)

I do not know how in English, but there is such a thing as "peregazovka." This is when the squeeze grip on the motorcycle, twist the throttle, shift gear down. That's when such actions may stall (conk out) my motorcycle - it's not normal. Motorcycle does not stall (conk out) when I'm just riding the road. But the motorcycle to stall (conk out) when I switch the gear down and quickly add gas.

I need technical advice - why this may occur. When I fix it, then we laugh together. ))))

I had a similar problem with my 08TE510. I think what is happening is that the mixture is too rich (too much fuel) just off idle. A series of quick twists of the throttle dumps too much fuel into the cylinder and the motor flames out.

I resolved the problem by installing a JD tuner, and reducing the accelerator pump function. I also did some adjustment of the idle mixture and slow speed mixture.

Attach a video. In the video, the bike stalled immediately. But it can happen suddenly. You do such things happen?

You can see from the 2 nd minute
