• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

For the first race back he was going to throw his hat in the ring looking for a top 5 finish in 4 Stroke A lites.

He has been riding a fair amount with the emphasis on consistency; the flash in the pan thing will get you in trouble.

Nice rain the night before and pretty sloppy for the 8am youth race, decent for the 10am race and real nice for the 1pm outing.

Starting line was 5th row back with only 10 bikes on the line.

Bike has been firing consistently with a push of the button and a kick, not sure what happened but 5 kicks later and a push start he just made it out of the infield before the next row went off; ok, he had his work cut out for him.

First lap thru he was in 6th, managed to work his way up to 5th and that’s where finished; 5th in class and 62nd overall. Besides the little starting issue the bike ripped and the WER suspension was right at home.
Drew was there spreading his usual cheer around the pits…

It was also good to see the #1 Husky fan Norm and his buddy Bill milling around.

Had the chance to talk to Derek Sorenson and Andy Jefferson, both were visiting the FAR crew.

My photographer was not along, limited pics and a few short video clips…
