• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Husqvarna
Pro Class
Sunday, July 8th Millfield, Ohio

The race takes place in the woods and fields around the Sunday Creek Motocross track and they manage to incorporate the majority of the moto track also…

Back to the pretty standard procedures this week…nothing too unusual like Snowshoe. Biggest factors this week; the heat and dry conditions…

Didn't make it to the track until Sunday morning…
But there isn't too much to check out ahead of time, especially since it hasn't rained lately. The Penton is not one of Andy's favorite tracks and he's really never done well here.

This is one of the more open and fast tracks on the circuit with nothing real tricky or nasty…now if it had rained it would have been an entirely different story…

Set up for the race was nothing out of the usual except for hydrate, hydrate, hydrate and making plans for handing off cold Gatorade each lap…

4 Stroke 'B' lites class had 17 bikes and started 2nd row from the back.
Decent uphill starting area; tight right, tight left and then into the woods…

Off the line decent and into the first turn uneventful…in the next left someone t-boned someone and it looked like half the class went down.
Andy managed to be just outside the action, swing clear and hit the woods running…

1st lap thru he was in 3rd and down 1 minute to 2nd.

Somewhere on the 2nd lap he thought he had an understanding with a lapper for a clear inside shot on a left hander only to get taken down. With time being pretty tight between the other racers a bunch got by and it took a while to get back up to speed…the 2nd time thru he was in 6th with three classmates within 30 seconds ahead of him…he had some work to do to get back to where he was and the leader was checking out…

His lap times remained a couple minutes off the pace, but he was able to work his way back to finish 3rd. 1st and 2nd put in good rides and 4th was back 15 minutes…

The TXC performed as usual; without a hiccup.
He said he never really got into the groove and being that it was hot and dusty didn't help…but, all things considered, not a bad run.

Team Powers, have a look into RynoPower supplements. Do your own research, call and ask questions of course. See who is using this stuff (old guy me for one), but really look at the list of fairly fast guys on the Rynopower program in many top level sports (see Ryno athletes list).
The stuff is rocket and best for me endurance fuel. For my 50B class "program" I am strong on the Protein for breakfast daily and for ride/ race strong on the Carb fuel and electrolyte tabs with small doses of endurance (for pre loading during the week, these are blood oxygen enhancers) and focus for riding.

Disclaimer I have no biz interest in the product other than receiving a "racer" discount for my supply. My class results have gone way up since I added this product to my "program" (my program aint much short bike rides and moto at least 4 times per month......)
