• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

If anybody has been following you know we had some major bike issues after Snowshoe...

Lets just say new crank seals/bearings/top end/piston...the works. Being we are running one machine we had to skip the NY AMA National Hare Scramble race to get ready for the Ohio GNCC.

Pulling things together, with the help of many...happened late on Thursday the 7th. Off to Pittsburgh and than W Va for some Saturday jetting...never really got comfortable with the jetting...ran it rich/safe and put rider and machine in the fray on Sunday.

Off the line and into the woods second...came thru first lap in 4th after some hill climb line issues.
2nd lap came thru in 2nd and was destined to remain there for the balance of the race. Andy mentioned it was kind of a struggle all day with the bike 'just not running right'.

In the 200 C 16+ class on the WR125 he managed to pull off 2nd in class out of 18 and 31st overall out of 273 riders...
All things considered...a good days ride.

Going to work on all the mechanical issues and do a lot of practice riding...need to instill some confidence back in the rider...

It was a hot one, even for the 2 hour morning race...

Next up is an AMA National Hare Scramble in PA.
