• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Powerline Park GNCC, St. Clairsville OH

Things are crazy at work, so this is one of those better late than never things…

Powerline Park has always been good to us; there is some very challenging mud along with some well used hard pack that can be sketchy at speed…

We got there early to walk around, check the mud pits to see how bad they were and what was safe to do.

Ended up deciding to take the safe and consistent route, over the risky…

Found a good pit location right next to the track after the finish line area. Never really warmed up, stayed around 50 degree with some intermittent sprinkles.

The crowd was somewhat back to normal compared to Unadilla. His starting line rotation had him next to last line and next week he'll be last…

Started with 17 bikes on the 4 Stroke B lites line…

Another good hole shot…

First lap thru he was running 3rd…top three within 20 seconds…

The 2 front runners got out a little too far and Andy got off the pace. Even though I keep a pit board up with times he never was able to push back to the front. If he'd have kept it closer an opportunity presented itself around lap 4 when the leader plunked it into one of the mud holes. The leader had to dig himself out and stop for goggles/gloves…

The course had it moments...He faded a little with each lap and finished 3rd…good ride overall.

Currently Andy sits in 4th place, with only 8 of the required 9 races you have to have...and they only count your best 9.

Check it out, 3 Huskys in the top 5!
