  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Really, you can feel a difference, i was always under the understanding that they didnt do that much to warrant the money, i put my money in a G2 throttle body and cams, works really well on my 250

it works for me

before i installed it there was nothing at the bottom now it's a bit better

You can get them for both carbs but if you have a PWK 38 mm airstriker I can't imagine you needing the carb divider. I put one in my WR250 trying to make the TMX work better. It was a waste of money, it helped a little but didn't really solve the low end/early mid problems especially at altitude. Bolted on a PWK 38 airstriker and all issues went away, no need for the divider.

Just a note: I ordered a Powernow over the phone from the manufacturer, and they sent me the wrong item. No problem so much there. Mistakes can happen. So I e-mailed them and explained what happened and that I would call them in the morning. They open at 7 AM Pacific time and close at 3:30 pm and are open for business Monday through Friday. SO Tuesday morning, I was mildly surprised not to see an answer to my e mail. I called them up around 9 and got a recorded message telling me that all the sales people were busy right now, so leave a number and they will get back to me. So I did. An hour later, nobody had gotten back to me, so I called again, got the same message, two hours later I called again, same sh**! Left them another e mail telling them that this was the most extreme form of poor customer service that I had ever heard of. The next morning, Wednesday, they had not called back or answered my e mail, so I had to call my credit card company and put the charge in dispute. It's been almost a week now and I have never gotten a response of any sort from the people at Scaryfast, other than to post my payment to them.:censored: Beware of these people.

IMHO even with a PWK the divider plates can and do help. It is a mild upgrade but does work with carbs I have done this with.

I have learned that this is why you ALWAYS use a credit card to buy online and never your bank account. I know some people are anti-credit card, but I have had several disputes and they have always gone to bat for me (and won). Hopefully yours works out the same way.

I have also been curious about the PowerNow products, but haven't forked out the money to try them.

I already know:thumbsup:, Mister RB's work is fantastic, the divider plate gives you 36mm low end and regular top end possibly more if you do the 39mm bore. I've noticed the needle is a little more touchy, but the bike is so versatile.

I was just informed by scaryfast people that a PN kit is not available for a 08 TXC250 ...

Is there anyone else who might sell this product or a similar one?
