• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Gidday,

Hey does anyone here sell or know anyone who sells power commander's for the TR650? ( apart from the dynojet site )?

I am in New Zealand, and can't seem to order one off the main site. And of course the 'distributor' here is so awesome that they cant reply to a customers emails/

Any suggestions?

Cheers

Check with member Motosportz. I seem to remember he's selling them now for the 650.

I never got fully setup to sell them although I could pretty EZ. That said i would hold off or call dynojet directly as we are having a hanging idle issue with the PCV and TR650 that is not yet resolved. It runs great otherwise.

There is a bigger problem than just the idle thing with mine.
I took my Terra to the local dyno to get the pcv mapped, when
he hooked it all up there was a map which was showing on the
laptop, then 5 seconds later no map****************************************! Dyno man tried all sorts
but couldn't get a reading on the laptop. He decided to give the
bike a run on the dyno which showed the bike to be running
dangerously lean.
Next day dynojet uk tried to reflash the pcv with no success
so he had to take it off the bike and post it to them.
Glad I took it to the dyno otherwise I might be replacing burnt valves.
Original map was very dodgy.
Will post again when I get it all back together.

I have seen no such issues with my PCV and can view the maps and they look good. Must have a faulty unit. Did the bike run like crap?

I only ran it a few miles through traffic to the dyno and never
noticed anything wrong
I don't think its the only dodgy one, I'm sure someone posted they
had to get theirs reflashed.
It might be a dodgy unit but someone at Dynojet had to programme
the very weak map in there in the first place. I don't know how they
do it but it looks like the map isn't for the Terra/ Strada. The dynoman
was very sure that running the bike for any length of time would cause
damage, we can only hope its a one of. All I'll say is anybody fitting one
should either visit dyno or keep an eye on the temperature and performance
of their bike.

Mine was fine right out of the box...been running strong for over a couple months now (and probably 1500 miles). Recently added the AutoTune and it just keeps getting better

They used a TR650 on a dyno (Dynojet makes dynamometer's) to make the map. The bike they used is actually owned by one of the V.P.'s at Dynojet.

Same here other than the hanging idle it runs great, maps look good, everything is a go.

I don't see how it could have been so lean it would harm the motor but ran fine. That does not add up for me. :excuseme: I'm not doubting you just doesnt make sense.

Perhaps because I only did 3 miles and the bike hardly got above idling speed
and it never got hot. It could be the mid or high range where it was running lean.
When I get it back I'll tell you what Dynojet UK say.

Keep in mind that Husqvarna states in the owners manual, to check the oil: start the bike up, letting it warm up enough to turn the fan on, then wait a certain number of minutes, then turn the bike off - then check the oil level.

All of that cannot be just to check the oil, I am almost certain that would alter some of the EFI i.e. that would affect how the bike was 'jetted'.

The Canadian dealer support through NA husky is well....lack of a better term shitty...Wish I knew this before I wrote the check for my Terra. The answer I get from my dealer about the MOSS crap is that he is waiting on KTM to give them a computer...not gona hold my breath on that one....unless I drive my bike like I stole her, it runs like shit.....tear the guts out of it and it idols fine, no dead spot around 3k, nothing...drive it like a normal person and my Terra has just about every symptom mentioned in every other thread...weird.

I really hope that Dynojet figures out the idol issue with the PCV soon...got my credit card ready. Once it gets fixed the PCV, auto tune and those exhaust mentioned on another thread will be on order.

So DJ is it ready yet??......how about now?....now?

Ditto for me - until I installed the Wuka. I'd ride it normal and it was crap - I'd ride the hell out of it and it was a beast. Hopefully the PCV is the solution for you.
