• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Please welcome our newest sponsor - Trooper Lu's Garage.

Welcome! :)

Perhaps he will fill us in on some of the details of what he sells?

Dude I just saw this. Can You believe I was actually talking to the staff about selling your products and getting in touch with you. As part of that I was looking at pictures of the radiator guards. Somehow this picture has ended up on the force advert. All I can say is how sorry I am. Mate I will be in touch shortly anyway as I want to see if you can send me some items and talk about getting some stuff. We are new and we are really focused on doing the right thing. Apologies re the pic and I will sort it out immediately (ie tomorrow I am off to bed). At least I know people are looking!! Glad you seem pretty cool about it. Trust me I will be having a nice little chat with the person who loaded the photo.

Mate I couldnt handle it and just fixed the picture myself. Once again my apologies. Thanks for being a good sport about it nice to see a bit of humour for a change. Been very tough starting a new business and being the new kid so to speak. We are really trying to get a good range of parts for our customers and make them available. I will definitely be in touch.

Good one Trooper. I am delighted you have joined up. I can only ask that you Sydney siders give these guys an opportunity to deal. I got a great deal on my 310 and also a brilliant pre delivery. Bike was 110% off the floor, all the road crap and restrive stuff nicely sorted, Fuel injection spot on, all bearings properly greased plus thrown in free quality habd quards, bash plate and rediator guards. So if you want great service, real interest in your bike and your needs give them a go. And by the way behind any good man is a good woman. Simone does all the hard work. Kelly give him a bell they get lots of stuff from the states such as 7602. it would be a good offset to your importing Motoz (which Trooper is yet to carry). Keep punching guys you have a great formula.

Welcome to CafeHusky, Trooper Lu's! :applause:

It's great to have you here!

Good luck in your new business

No problems man, I am pretty EZ going about everything. It's cool, found it kinda funny. Take care.

Welcome Trooper Lu's! I've been working with the gang at Trooper Lu's for a while now and it has been a pleasure every time. A very good bunch of people who are dedicated to making husky's better. If you're in need of some parts or help give them the chance to impress you. :applause::cheers::thumbsup:

Yeah I know what you mean with Simone doing all the Work, That Justin Bloke is always hiding or in Hospital ;).

They did a pretty good job with my 300 with delivery & Price. So if you need a New Husky, or need some work done, Give them a call. I just wish he would give me 1 of them New 310s to go & test run.

Trooper and Simone, nice to see you here. It is funny how you started things off with Kelly. Oh well, many times good friendships are started in a funny way. Good Luck

thanks a heap. WOuld you believe I just placed an order with Kelly after all that so it was a nice little catalyst to get my but into gear. I thought he had pretty a heap of resellers out here already. It turns out we are going to try to get a fair bit of his gear I hope. I just need time to build up inventory. So many things I want to buy!!! For the shop of course - but if a few stray onto my bike thats just marketing ( thats what I tell simone anyway - she doesn't buy it theough!!) Thanks everyone. Hopefully I can be of help to people as you need.

croc, i knew you would see this I dont know about you riding it, I saw your pipe!!! Oh and there may be a present coming for you from the USA. Now you just need to help me move a few cr50's !!!

Daniel - thanks for the welcome. Cafe Husky seems to be supporting us more. Overwhelmed by the support. Thanks to all. I just need to keep on top of things as people like croc keep suggesting I get more bling. As I am a shopaholic - he isnt helping the cash flow as I agree and get it!! SO croc - no more ideas from you.
