• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Our very own Semore has decided to come on as an official sponsor to Cafe Husky!

He sells a few things that may be of interest to Husqvarna riders, especially if you have an efi bike :)

He will be sponsoring the EFI forum and has his own sponsor forum - LINK

YES!!! :applause:

Dean- Thanks for getting me setup with a forum.

Thanks to those who have supported my start up business by purchasing the iBeat alternate cable.

I'm like many of the other businesses that support this website, I enjoy designing products and offering knowledge to help others get the most from their toys.

I spent the last 24 years working for a large semiconductor company in which my primary job function was the analyze problems, design and implement solutions. It was like having a hobby you get paid for doing. Unfortunately the crashing economy left many thousand of us laid off. Of course I now have a lot more time to Husky R&D.;)

I'll be posting a iBeat FAQ thread on my forum to answer many of the same questions asked by those considering purchasing iBeat.

I plan on updating my website or creating a new site that will allow for online purchases as well as the addition of other products like Power Commanders.

Thanks again for the support.

Scott

Very cool and timely. I have my first EFI bike on the way (2010 TXC250) and need to learn this stuff. I also plan on working on performance parts maybe centered around the EFI, we will see. We might need to talk.

As for loosing your job I hope the best for you and yours. Have lots of friends in the same position and scratching for what to do. My biz is way down but still working. It's tough out there. i wish you the best with this endeavor.
