  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

250-500cc Platinum or Platinum 2 for my '11 wr 300

I finally smashed in my stocker pipe yesterday so need to get a replacement. I'll likely get the stocker blown out and keep it as a spare, but will likely go w/a pro circuit pipe and silencer. I've read numerous times on this forum that some of you run a platinum 2, but I can't seem to find any for sale on the web. Even pro circuit's web site doesn't offer a P2 for my bike; only the platinum. What's the deal? Where can I get a P2? Is their any difference between the two besides the P2 being constructed using 18 gage steel? I don't want the hassle of maintaining a works pipe either despite their coolness. Thanks!

Pro Circuit doesn't list a P2 pipe on their website for Husky. If you want a heavy guage pipe you could go with an FMF Gnarly...

They stopped making the P2 a while ago. You might be able to find a used one. Mine is banged up and has been repaired once and ready for another repair job.

The Gnarly on my WR250 has taken some big hits that resulted in small dents and ran better on top end and smoother in the middle than the stocker. That said, I have heard the pro circuit is better then the gnarly as far as power goes. I have a new pro circuit that is natural finished waiting for when I finish beating the crap out of my Gnarly. Someday I will give a 1st hand comparison.

Check the code 8000H7925 with your local dealer.
Is the complete exhaust that Husqvarna gives as a power part for your bike and comes straight from Pro Circuit.
