  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Piston size

I went to the dealer and they were going to order me a piston for 200$! So I asked them the size. Said it was 53.95. And it's for my 02 125 we husky. Stock .I looked online and noticed some
Pistons say 54 or 53.95 or 53.96. Will any of these work for a stock head? And does anyone know of a repair shop manual for this type of bike. Wether I order it or can print it. And not the owners manual. An actual repair book like Haynes or clymer. Thank you

 $200
that's quite a price for only a piston

if it is a set with the little end bearing and gaskets you might be right

I do have a parts manual from your year with all the original order codes and piston sizes in PDF

if you send me a PM with your E mail I will send it to you

Fast by Ferracci they were clearing out 54mm pistons for $50. I think they are a Wiseco. I have used these with no problems. You could also get a Wiseco for around $125. The $200 piston is a stock piston. Also have heard of dealers installing 144 kits and then selling 125 top end (piston, cylinder and head) for $250.

So as long as the piston I order isn't bigger the. 54mm I should be safe. That's what I am worried about.
