• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Just for fun, got the idea from another forum that I frequent. The rules are simple:

1. Must be a new picture, taken after the item is listed. (No old pictures)
2. Must include at least part of your bike in the picture.
3. Once you find the item, you must select the next target.
4. Item must be something common enough to give everyone a fair chance.
5. If 72 hours pass on an item without success, the last person must choose a different item.

To start things off:

Your bike at a waterfall!

Can be fun, there's a similar thread on another forum I frequent, just remember to think of things that can be found worldwide!

See if I can fit some time in tomorrow to get some challenges.

Is this what you are looking for? I was riding today in the RedHill area and heard a little tinkling sound ... it was the sound of falling water ....

Haha, that's puny, but it'll do I guess...
Was hoping for something more like this, but mine doesn't count since I picked it, haha...

So now, ray_ray, it's your turn to pick the next target.

I'm in Southern California. Not too many waterfalls down here outside of the rainy season (winter), and nature preserves where motorcycles aren't allowed.:excuseme:

It's a little dry here also DM :) ... That's OK with me as worn out knobby does well ....

____________

Nice bike in your pic.. ESP that comfy looking seat ...

I like the neighborhood my waterfall is in ... This downhill has the easy part getting to the creek ...

And I've already used this AO before ... It's kind of cool how all places here morph a little over time ...
