• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Had a nearly perfect day, sun shine, prefect coffee grounds like soil. LOVED it. Did a bunch of gnar, almost made a ride buddy give up and cry on one very long gnarly climb. Was perfect. :D

This is what happens when you pin it and find you are in neutral :D

You rode on Mother's day! Your a lucky dude. Wasn't even thinking about asking that question around my house:D, I could only manage to get awy for the gym, yeeha..

Are any of those trails the ones we have read about Dave building recently?
I want to ride some of that stuff soon.

what are your thoughts/impression of that trials looking tire on the back of that yellow and blue beauty??

How are you liking the cr-250?Those loggers leave a mess behind.Only time it looks like that in my location is if a twister comes thru!

None of the ones pictured are new, in fact very old but somewhat redone and cleaned up and rerouted in places.

Had tried trials tires before and always liked them but kept going back to knobs. This time I really like it. If you ride areas that are a lot of rocks and roots you will love it. Deep mud and slick clay they are not great. They also require a different riding approach and don't like to spin. They climb rocky and rooty hills like nothing else. They are also very nice to the trail bed and don't dig holes. They work best on bikes where you lug it and finesse them around. If you like to brake slide in and roost out they are not for you. Since trying one again I find myself at the top of many nasty rocky hills waiting for my friends.

Its a great bike with an amazing motor. Both the dudes on the KTM 350 and TE310 tried it and did not want to give it back. Thought I was going to have to teebone them to get my bike back. I have it setup for technical woods riding and it is so EZ to get through the gnar on it it is almost cheating. SO much EZer to ride than either of those bikes in the tight stuff. Like no comparison. KTM350 guy loved it and said it feels like a 300 which it kinda does. Gobs of perfect lugging hill climbing power yet still a rocket on top. I was specifically looking for a 02 CR250 when I got this one as I knew they hit a stride with that bike. KTM350 guy is now looking for a 2 stroke to supplement his 350.

That looks like the early spring riding we always missed being further north of your area and at a higher altitude ... Trails and the terrain look very good out there esp with the run-off in the streams...
