  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Passenger Pegs for 2012 TE310?

Rizzkid

AA Class
Hello Husky Fans,

Anyone know where to get passenger pegs for a 2012 TE310? Or what other model pegs that may fit? I want to criuse around short distances with my kid. Any advice is appreciated.

Last ones were on the 2008 TE 250, 450, and 510 models I THINK

I think the frames could not take two adults well, but just a kid might be OK

SO, find some guy that wants to look through his 2008 stuff and see if they'll part with it, assuming it could fit.

That's what I was told also when my wife asked me to fabricate some so she could do some light off road with me. She's only about 110 lbs. but they (the Husky rep) said that the subframe couldn't handle the weight. If you're on the road I think it would be ok (depending on the size of your kid). I'd just fab something that'll be easily removed if you can't find some from an '08 or they won't fit. They don't have to be super sturdy as it's just a place for him/her to put their feet.

I am in the same situation, I tried to get some for my TE250, the dealer tried to but on the ones from the big bikes, but the area of the frame where they would bolt on is snug to the plastic of the airbox so I guess they won't fit. I have not been able to find anything either, please post it if you find something that works! The weight is not an issue here either, I just want to put my kid on the back for a 10 minute road ride to the trails where we keep the kids bikes.
