  • Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

125-200cc Parts For Wr125/250/300

I got a 2011 wr125 turned into wb165, thanks Walt. Great woods bike but looking to add a wr250 or 300 for more open stuff. My question is the wr250/300 and the 125 have any parts i have to worry about finding? love those bike but worried about finding parts. Thanks for the help

Lots of places on-line, and your local dealers should be able to provide you with parts at least until they are ten years old.

Not having any problem with OEM parts really, but aftermarket is thin and getting worse. May have to wait for some parts, but it's all supposed to be available like DD says.
If you have good local dealership that's a big plus. My 300 came from the local BMW dealer and they just sigh and roll they're eyes when I ask about red Husky parts, eventhough they're now a KTM/Husky dealer too.

I order from Bill's or Halls or AOMC as much as possible, but this place has all the parts info and good price comparisons:

my method is easy, if you buy a bike you like and plan to keep it, I do, and have
buy parts you know you will need and parts you think you will need,,, now,,, while they are available
bought parts for my 80's and 90's, like everything I needed, still have new parts, in boxes and wrappers

you're right, there are no problems with finding those parts!
it's a couple years down the road for the people who are not racing, but riding 20-40 hours a year or have multiple bikes
they get to liking the way a particular bike handles, then 12 years into ownership the parts dry up
there are more of those than you know
personally might butt was shared by a BUNCH of bikes, I hoarded parts, and I mean HOARDED parts, so I'g good now,, still
done riding and my old bikes still look new today

Thanks...so the wr250/300 sounds like not to much of a problem but the wr125 might be. i dont think there is tons of them out there. the 1 part that i worry about is the clutch basket. i have heard and looked and seems there is none out there. i will have to call and look into the places above. any info on the clutch basket please let me know. thanks

OEM clutch parts are available at the link above and I'm sure Bill's or Halls or AOMC can get any OEM part you will need. If you're really worried do a 2premo and watch ebay, classifieds here, etc for parts and stock up.
It's been a non-issue for me so far except for white plastic kit fo rthe 300.
