    As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

    When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

    Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

    Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

    Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

P3 Carbon ordering direct

Hi All,

Has anyone had any recent experience with ordering from P3 carbon direct? I have ordered a heat shield for my '14 TE310R header pipe but no response via emails or answers to calls.

If others have ordered direct what sort of ETA did you get?

I ordered a skid plate for my 14' txc310r and it took about 2-3 weeks, I also lost the mounting braket one time and called them up to order a new one and they sent me a replacement one for free.
I would try calling again and talking to someone on the phone from what I have dealt with them it has been very good.
 
I ordered a pipe shield about a month ago. Got it in under a week. They may make some of that stuff on demand,
 
I just got a boot guard from them. Took about 2 weeks ( cross border ). They answered emails quickly.
Downside was they did not send mounting hardware with it. Couldn't find just the brackets anywhere. Probably could have made some but was easier just to buy a cheap universal shield for $30 and use the the hardware from that.
Who knows, P3 may have sent me some for free if I asked but I didn't want to wait another 2 weeks.
 
What email address did you use? Every time I call I get the voicemail message system (is a bit tricky to call certain times with the timezones). Currently been waiting 5 weeks for the heat shield I ordered.
